So I kept running until I found these 2 lifeguards in their truck. Instead of giving me a ride back to where our friend got sucked out, they had me run back beside them while they drove along slowly beside me. I was already out of breath by the time I reached them, and was obviously struggling on the way back. And meanwhile our friend is sucked out to sea half a mile away! I couldn't believe that shit!
Isn't that one of the purposes of those vehicles is to get to the scene faster? They wasted very valuable time just because their rules "don't allow" non-staff to ride in the vehicles. Un-fucking-believable those guys are! As soon as I saw that picture it all came rushing back like it was yesterday.
