    Is my ipod fucked?

    It just shows the apple and then after a while it just shows a folder with an exclamation mark
    anyone exerienced sth like that before... ??

          you can try resetting it
          if that doesnt work id send it back and get a replacement

                    i think its generation 3 or 4
                    maybe 1.5 years old
                    i tried those steps but it aint working:

                    # Connect your iPod to the Apple iPod Power Adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect your iPod to your Mac's built-in FireWire port
                    # Toggle the Hold switch on and off (slide it to Hold and then turn it off again)
                    # Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears (about 6 to 10 seconds).
