the term "baby" in a domain name - bad idea or no?

today my wife was talking to my sister in law and she told her about the site
ratemybabypics.com - a simple baby picture rating sites for parents

great idea for that

well we are at my parents house and my step mom wanted to see her grand babys pics of the site

so my wife yells out ratemybaby.com

forgot the pics

well if you go to ratemybaby.com - it is redirected to an adult site ....

shady or no ??/

i think that its not very ethical. but i wouldnt rule out using baby in an adult site name. babygotboobs.com is fine because it has nothing to do with babies and babies wasnt even implied.

guys I am not saying I am thinking about using baby in a domain name

I am pointing out a site that does that is redirecting traffic to an adult site

as for the 95% pedo traffic

Pregancy / new parent traffic is PURE GOLD ... you would not even begin to belive the kinda traffic you can get that is not pedo traffic

Yep Chris, Baby / Parent stuff is very popular.

I picked up babypages.com last yr in a drop and it gets around 500 typeins per month. not a ton, but I do plan on developing this domain sometime.

I would use babe if I were going to. Baby is iffy. But NOT illegal at this time I dont think. But using your brain is the best option.

pornkings has babyonboard that was a kind of shocking name the old design had the babyonboard sign you see in the cars animated moving back and forth, but they updated their design (its a pregnant niche site) i would have picked a better domain)
