I find the idea of networking at dinner kind of strange, though it is somewhat the "norm". People are chomping away on their delicious meal, then they look at you and start talking with garlic breath and some weird little green thing stuck between their teeth. How splendid! I'd rather just enjoy my meal.

Hmmm well you can chat after dinner right? Do you just sit and eat in silence usually? I think parties like Internext is what you make of it. That being said, the question was what makes a party experience enjoyable to you?
Some people like dancing and loud club music and others cocktails and schmoozing.

I dig the relaxed hospitality parties.

That's the whole thing with the amateurbash. although this year we'll be doing it away from the strip and providing transportation.

Bars / Clubs ya gotta try to yell over the sound system. hard way to meet new people and not a very easy way to talk to those you already know.

dinners are okay for 4-6 people... but anything more than that ... and it's pointless as it's hard to have conversations with anybody that was sitting outside your immediate area and it's akward to be sitting there 8 feet from somebody you want to talk, can see, but are outside of range to do some politely.

and of course i dig the very small VIP parties... regardless of where they are located. don't get invited to nearly enough of these =)

i find it much easier to network when you're tag-teaming the same skanky bitch in the hotel room.. something about rubbing up against a strangers cock makes business that much easier
