I have bumped in an air marshal before. Scary experience. I was flying from Amsterdam and the guy behind me was an air marshall.
As i pass down the aslie back from the bathroom i bump into him going the opposit way and i see an outline of a gun on his waist and i feel it. I sit down scared as shit, not knowing what to do. Weahter i tell somoene or make a scene (he was heading toward the cockpit).
His parther who sat next to me knew whats up and explained to me. Later after the plane landed i saw them be escorted throug the back.
What i am trying to say is that i sat for a long time thinking what to do, while the whole time he could have hijacked the plane.

The best part of the whole situation is the guy was about to be arrested, no physical harm done, and then he reaches into his bag. You reach into your bag, pocket, or shirt with ANY law enforcement agent and they're going to shoot you. A cop would have done the same thing. If suspect reaches, he's done. That simple.

yes. i've had all that training. they ordered him to stop. he went for something in his bag and they shot to stop the threat. knowing something after the fact and having to make split second on the spot decisions is alot different. in todays day and age, the last place you want to act like an idiot is anywhere near an airplane.Comment

With all the terrorist threats and goings on anyone who is dumb enough to say he has a bomb on a plane should expect repercussions. The marshall didn't know the guy was nuts but did the right thing. We had a similar situation here in the London underground where a man was shot because the police believed he may have been about to set another bomb off.Comment

Yes. He was more then justified. It's a federal offense to even mention the word bomb in an airport or on an airliner. And when the moron says he has a bomb in his carryon and then refuses to stop for a police officer, fuck him, he deserves to get shot. Kudos for the fast reaction of the air marshal, even if the insane fuck didn't have a bomb.
