Education of course! Money - it comes and goes, one day you have it, the next day you don't. With education, it's with you forever. It doesn't diminished, it even nurtured as the day goes by.
Education or money??

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text. -

Why do you have to choose? If you were able to make that much this year while staying in school, why not just keep it up for the next 3?
Don't drop out. This is the best time to be there. You don't wanna be trying to finish a bachelor's degree when you're in your 30s. Have a good time, meet lots of people, study, and get your degree. Even if you never use it, you won't regret it.

I was an older student. Started college at 26. I was 29, and took my LSAT to get into law school and when I got my results I said,"do I really want to be somebodys clerk at age 34, and perhaps make partner by 55?" fuck that. So I started up on an AEN and did over 6 figures my first year. The rest is history.

IMHO, keep doing what your doing, but go to school at least part time in case the money ever dries up. If nothing else, you will be more knowledgable about the world around you then you were, and I see knowledge as always being a good thing.Originally posted by spamofon

to those who are older and wiser

I'm in that boat at 29 and I go to school with a lot of people that are around 40 (a few are much older then that) who wished they had finished their education years earlier and are now doing so while juggling work, family and school. I'm just glad I'm getting my shit together before I got to their age.Originally posted by Centurion
So many people when they hit 40 or so seriously regret not taking advantage of the educational opportunities when they have them.
When you get older, with marriage, kids, etc., you have a lot less freedom & more responsibility that makes it very difficult to get a higher education.
NEVER pass, on the opportunity to learn.Alt Journals, Blogs for Perverts!

I like the ideas I've heard about "putting your money to work for you". Index mutual funds are doing really well right now. Buy into each index and let it grow under compound interest. Since index mutual funds are fairly static, there's not much going on as far as selling stocks goes, so there's very little to trigger capital gains tax. Pile money in there while you're going to school. When you get out of school you'll either continue doing what you're doing or you might have decided to move on. If you decide to move on, you'll have a hell of a nest egg to work with. Spend a year traveling the world and then buy a house for cash.

i think many of your definitions of education differ from mine fundamentally.
education is all about learning, meeting other intelligent people with challenging/opposing views, and expanding your mind. imho. it has almost nothing to do with making money, at least directly.we'll miss you our friend. RIPComment

both, study and earn money so that u can hire ppl with higher talent / educated to work for youComment

Money as the end result of education should only be part of the goal. It doesn't even have to be in the equation, but realistically it will be to some degree for most who attend.Originally posted by SpikeHeel

When I was there, I chose subjects that I found intriguing. It wasn't like highschool where you have to take all kinds of courses you don't like or need. At University you get to choose and focus on the area of study that interests YOU. Listening to some of the professors speak on issues was mind blowing. Some of them are so articulate and the subject matter so interesting. Go to university because it excites you. Learning about things that you've always wanted know is exciting.
I still read and re-read many of the textbooks I used during school and I've purchased additional books on the topics I was interested just to get some more insight.
The people in universities are the ones creating the drugs and antibiotics that save lives. You can learn about how they do it and perhaps someday do it yourself. The people in universities are the ones that can teach you about technology to fly into space, or to build planes or even bombs. Anything!. It's also the place where future politicians reside...you can learn about the political system that governs you and why it is the way it is, its pros and cons. As far as information goes, there is no other institution on earth 'higher' than university for you to get your hands on that information. Learn whatever you want to learn.
Universtity can be a pretty profound experience if you enjoy learning. And if that's not enough, there are the chicks and the parties you will go to.

One of the great things about working online is that if you set things up right the computer will do a lot of the work for you..
Try and do both, I'd only think about the decision if it wasn't working.Comment

Both...
Money, college chicks, college parties and an education to fall back on or persue. I can only imagine going back in time with 120k a year during college
College is like sex... If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right. Did I mention college chicks? lol
