Just kind of sucks the news crew had to blow the plot. I mean, now the surfers who check it out via that broadcast know it's stagged. That's probally 90% of the power of bangbus. Awesome plot, done extremly real, and hot girls. Now the surfers will have to join based on the models hottness rather than the whole idea. Many surfers, I think, were just told that santa clause doesn't really exist. That's the only negative thing to come out of the broadcast; and I believe that was the purpose of the news crews "under cover sting": To expose them as charlatans, not as delinquents.

What I would have liked to have seen was the guy give the reporter a card or something and say "if you have any questions call me and we'll set up an interview, no cameras." But he was probably a little shocked and angry and wasn't sure what to do, so his first instinct was to deny any involvement.
