A few more revisions to the stats format inside... anything you think I should add that would be useful?

Look for these monthly stats to be published in one of the major adult webmaster print magazines starting next month!

Here is what this is all about for those of you who haven't seen our thread before:

Because we advertise so many sites across so many niches using so many sponsors, the many webmasters who submit to us daily tend to ask who we recommend for reliability and conversion success.

Instead of just posting links to a few of our favorites, we decided to compile our stats from month to month and post them for all to see. Basically, we offer a ranking of the top 20 or so sponsors that converted for us during the month.

We update this every month and hope that it helps a few of you to make an educated decision about which sponsors to advertise.

Always a good question that I try to answer each month :-)

As we all know, it's damn near impossible to figure out how "certain" sponsors track hits. There are a few sponsors like PerfectGonzo that I leave out of the stats entirely because I have no idea what they track. A few of the sponsors I must manually login to their stats and compute the 1st page unique ratio because they don't report it in Statsremote... but for the most part, the list is fairly consistant 1st page uniques. It's definately not perfect though. It couldn't be without running my own tracking script which I have no interest in doing.

I hope that providing other snippets of info like "traffic rank", "most earned" and "most traffic received" will help people make more informed decisions as to who converts best for me. In the end, it comes down to dollars. The sponsors that make the most and convert the best over time get the most traffic.

CCBill programs are hit and miss... I tend to do well with the super micro-niche programs. One site that converts well in the gay niche is http://www.straightcollegemen.com/index.html

I try lots of ccbill programs. Some work, some don't and I delete them after a month.

Great stats Marc, as usual.
What I still don't get, why we, 'the affiliates' as a group, don't demand that each sponsor shows the same type of hits in their stats. I don't mind if they show 1st, 2nd or join page hits, as long as I can compare them with other sponsors. I personally only care how many clicks/ uniques I send to a sponsor and how much money I make with that traffic.
Now I can't compare jack. They can try to create a smokescreen, but soon I will just get myself a click log script, so I can see how much traffic a sponsor gets and makes me and then act accordingly. Maybe we all should do the same. This will be harder to do with galleries, but its a start.

Not a fair statement mb, check your facts please. Our "counting" is not much different than Topbucks, Bangbros, Realitycash or Nichedsites. If you leave us out you might want to look into dropping others from your stats as well.

It's an impossible task to streamline sponsor reported stats. The only way is as you say, to track it yourself. I'd be nervous that my "tracker" might go down for a few hours and no one could reach the sponsors.

I just don't worry about specifics. I know which spots on my site send the most traffic and the sponsors that consistantly send me big checks and "seem" to convert well get those spots.

Dave - You've been quite defensive about this before. Why don't you just show the real "count"? You've got a good program that converts pretty well (or I think it does) becasue you have a good product. There is no need to wash the numbers to make you look good. You already do really well.

Jay, thanks for the kind words, I know what you mean, we're not washing any numbers however. I just don't like double standards being used on us in public posts, that's all.

My question to mb remains unanswered. If you (both you Jay, and mb) have a position how programs should display ratios, why not apply it to all programs equally across the board. Why are these programs not dropped from the stats?
