Fucking dudes are CLEARLY BLEEDING to death on the floor. marien just walks up to the guy and says "He's fucking faking being dead!" and then shoot him and then says "Well he's dead now". Latest I heard is that the marine that did it was wounded yesterday, and returned to fighting again today. I don't condone it happening, but when you have young men and women armed to the teeth in a warzone fighting for their lives most of the time, I can see how it does happen..Comment

If the "insurgents" are using their dead fellows' bodies as booby traps then they're going to be risking that this exact thing happens.
This kid did jump the gun and they need to re-evaulate their protocol when these situations arise, but that's easier said than done in the middle of an offensive, especially in combat like this.
The group of soldiers that left the wounded there could have left a marker or something.
It's not an easy situation to simplify no matter how simple the video makes it out to be.Comment

We had to train on tactics such as - If you go to a school yard and all the kids are playing and one 10 year old points a gun at us we have to kill all the children- you think killing an injured man is fucked up... imaigne comeing home and being tortured for teh rest of yoru life because you had to fire on 117 innocent children because one of them happened to hold a small weapon. War sucks...

I watched a longer cut of the Video on the news last night, and it appeared to show vast confusion on the part of the unit they followed, it started out with them not knowing other Marines were already in the building (them shouting 'who's in there?', 'we're coming in') then another group of marines telling the same Marines they nearly got shot by a Tank, then when they entered the building several questions got asked one of which was about the "Insurgents" being shot and if I remember correctly one of them said 'Yes' then another asked if they (the wounded) were unarmed to which I did not hear a reply.
The broader view I got of that was that the Unit was already confused, they entered the building thinking the wounded had just been shot, and had yet not been checked for weapons. I am hoping this is a case of 'the fog of war' and not execution of unarmed combatants by the U.S Military (we can hope right?)Comment
