Unified is ok but its too complex while providing utterly useless graphs and such.. For the most part I just want a little window with sales.. Why i gotta have this huge window of bs.. So I vote Statsremote..
If these companies had a clue they'd make the stats display the sites that are selling as well as the total.. I mean if your gonne put 400 things on the screen (unified) you should at least break down the sales.Last edited by MrJackMeHoff; 12-05-2005, 06:34 AM.

thx Candyflip...yeah, we are working hard at getting programs added...for many of them, it can take some time though.Originally posted by candyflipIf UnifiedStats is missing a program, just message John and let him know.
Whenever I submit something it's usually added the SAME DAY!
We also have to balance adding the programs with pushing out updates for the application itself (a major update was recently pushed out). We are at 429+ programs at the moment.
Regarding the ads...we have 2 relevant ads in the application.
mkx...as karlm mentioned, copy the db folder (located in the unifiedstats program directory) to the new install and all of your stats/passwords/settings will be there. It's a good idea to save the db directory off to an external source every now and then too...just in case something happens to your computer...you wouldn't have to add all of your programs and such again. There's a backup button under the Manage button too...
Jack...I understand where you are coming from. Regarding the graphs...some like, some don't. Keep in mind there's a no graph reporting option. At the very top of the report they both have your current daily, monthly and yearly stats. Some people only use those...and some use all of the other reporting options. Regarding the per site stats, unfortunately I'm really not sure it's feasible taking everything into consideration.Comment

Ive used stats remote and I now use US
At frist I wasn't to happy with US.. Now I can't complain. For me SR always had an error with one of my programs I was using and wouldn't be fixed until the next update. Kinda like wasting my $ and time.Comment

Unified stats rocks.... why? because it gets the job done and it's free..
who cares about the ads, they are giving us a free tool, they gotta make a buck also ya know... its just like gfy being free and having ads... we don't mind because they are providing a wonderful service

Statsremote for sure.
One thing I would really like to see added to stats remote is a way to "weight" the uniques for each program. For example, many NATS programs show "qualified" or "productive" uniques. That is, for every hit you send that does SOMETHING (click a link, watch a movie, go to signup page) you get a unique hit. Others who glance and dance (just leave the site) do not register. I happen to know that on MY traffic, I need to multiple the uniques registered by about 1.6 to get a true unique hits number. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing..Comment

I havent used Unified Stats. I use Statsremote and love it. I've learned through experience never to rely on free services, whether it be hosting, scripts, etc. If you are a full time webmaster and use lots of different sponsors, then it is definitely worth paying for Statsremote.Comment

Hey SomeCreep, I don't really look at it as a free product so to speak. There's tons of value in it, it's just the revenue doesn't have to come from the end user. Realistically we all use and rely on free stuff every day...especially on the internet. I hear you though...not so common with software targetting such a small/niche group of users...especially software requiring so much maintenance, but we are definitely making it work and we have a lot of happy users.
Thanks for the support everyone!
