Strange, at best. I wonder what's going to prevent the theft of the actual pills since they are also tracking Oxycontin. They are putting a bug on the bottles, but say a thief detects the bug (say he either reads Yahoo or see's the antenna on the bottle) and decides to remove the pills from the bottle and leave the empty bottle to be tracked, then the pills still get jacked and are untraceable.

well i have never seen stolen pills being sold still in the bottle so i think its rather useless. besides thats to prevent theft and they said its to prevent counterfeit pills ...

They will start putting bugs inside each pill and those will cost $1000 / pill .

They said it's to prevent both, counterfeit Viagra and Oxy and also to prevent the Oxycontin from being stolen (since it's such a highly desired, addictable drug). If someone is dumb enough to steal a C2 or above drug and keep it in the manufacturer's bottle, then they deserve to get caught. Of course a person is gonna dump the pills into a ziplock or whatever and toss the bottle.

I still don't get the counterfeit part, either. Unless someone is switching out bottles of pills, enroute, and taking the "real" Viagra or whatever and replacing it with counterfeit shit and that is the stuff that is being sent to the pharmacies, who think the pills are genuine and, hence, pass it onto the consumer. (?)

I don't understand, I have a couple of friends who are pharmacist's, maybe they'll have the inside scoop.

ive witnessed vicodin theft, they just dump it all into anything but the bottles it comes in

we used to buy vicoden from a dude that still had it in the original 500 count bottle straight from the pharmacy
