I like the feel of a zoom .. the depth of field is just right, giving you a soft focus on the face.
Love it ..
I've been using a 70 - 300 with my fuji, But Find the back end to be still too tight .. wish there was a 50 - 200 .. That would be awesome

The best way to blurr out the background is to use a wide aperture and back way up from the model and zoom in. Also, make sure you have some distance between the model and the background. This may be something that you know already...if not, give this a try on your next shoot and see if that gives you what your looking forOriginally posted by vidvicious

in reality it is an above average female with good skin SUPERBLY presented by excellent photography.
and why all the "wow she is hot" commentary of a girl you wouldn't even notice in the mall?
because the shooter is paying attention to the details.
how many so-called "content shooters" even understand DOF, let alone know how to use it effectively.
how many so-called "content shooters" even know the difference between a mediocre shot and a good shot.
they can use the same camera, photograph the same girl, and come away with ho-hum images.
it is the SHOOTER and the MAKE-UP ARTIST and the POST PRODUCUTION that makes this above average girl beautiful.
some of you guys calling yourselves "photographers" should look and learn.
