The thing that bothers me about his case is that the witnesses that convicted him did so for reduced charges. If he were truly guilty he would have a much better chance of commuting his death sentence with admission, apologies and remorse years ago, and he knows that. If any case should "err on the side of life" this would be a good candidate.
