Is there any main reason I should object? Anything I should know about. Doesn't really matter to me as long as there isn't anything out of the ordinary that comes along with it.

I have two, as long as he keeps their cage clean, and you wash your hands after handling them with anti-bacterial soap you shouldn't have a problem.Originally posted by Sly
Bearded.
They do however eat crickets, vegtables and depending on the owner -- pinkie mice. The noise from the crickets might piss you off.Comment

Had two, 3ft a gold Tegu Monitor, and a Savannah Monitor. Neither were nasty, I never got bitten even when feeding them by hand. Not sure where you get 'vile' from?Originally posted by undermyspell

White dragons are more friendlier than black dragons. Don't get ice dragons since you'll have to get a big freezer or move to the North Pole. Red dragons like volcanoes so you might have to move near Mount Saint Helen's. Make sure you keep any dragonslayers by the name of George away from them. Some prefer virgins and they can be picky at times. If you can find a shapechanging dragon, they are best, especially if they are of the opposite sex than their owners. Beware of the beastie laws in your area and have a nice day

the nasty and vile part come from their disgusting eating habits. Every one i've ever encountered or been around completely splattered their prey all over the side of the cage. I've never been bitten either however, their razor sharp claws that can grab you regardless of where you grab them (i've completely blanked on what that type is called) is another nasty point about them... Of course mine was only about 18 inches long so who knows.. LOL I just know that I hated that thing and it was a bitch to keep his cage clean especially when he ateOriginally posted by xenophobic

I had a Sudan plated Lizard that would rip mice in two, then smear them across the tank too. I'm not sure if it's a 'are you dead?' check, or a "haha, you've got to clean this shit up" statement. pretty nasty.Originally posted by undermyspell

However Bearded Dragons are better, they become completely vegetarian as they get older.Comment

Believe it or not Horny Toads are a protected species in some states, in Texas for example collection of them in the Wild is illegal.Originally posted by undermyspell

They're getting harder to find here due to the fact that their main food source the pharaoh ant was killed off with people killing fire ants. I wouldn't suggest collecting anything in Arizona, Arizona now has some harsh penalties for such, mainly because of people collecting reptiles like the gila monster and selling them in the pet trade.Comment
