I spent summers cleaning pools in College. The work wasn't bad but the area of the country where I worked had only a 3 month pool season, the rest of the years the pools were ignored. I pulled more than one family pet from beneath a closed pool cover. People had thought their dog or cat had run away. By the time that I got to them the stink was horrendous but just as bad was that the corpses are fragile and decomposed. They fall apart taking them out of the pool. You just have to bag it and call the pool owner to let them know of your findings.
