"I try to make a habit of bouncing my eyes up to the face of a beautiful woman, and often repeat “not mine” in my head or even verbally. She’s not mine. God has her set aside. She’s not mine. She’s His little girl, and she needs me to fight for her by keeping my eyes where they should be."

They never really fucked up PayPal's site, everything still remained the same idea and layout basically, except for eBay using PayPal to run their payment processing monopoly.
Not even the customer service changed. I don't understand why you have to fax eBay a screenshot of a PayPal payment when you should be able to just give them the transaction ID for them to call the PayPal department with.
If they invested 1 million of that small percentage of capital they used to buy neverheardof.nl and invested it in a better customer service team to actually take calls and reply to emails in a person to person point of view instead of a robot or copy and paste point of view, eBay will remain the top auction site of all time forever. I predict that will come out within the next 10 years that will give eBay some real competition.

Well considering that http://www.marktplaats.nl/ displays "een eBay onderneming" on their heading (which I assume means an eBay company", this information must be true. 225 Million EURO is pocket change for eBay

I may be wrong but Marktplaats.nl is already 10 times bigger than ebay in the netherlands. Fact is the site is a succes just because of its simplictity and surferfriendlyness at this point.

No doubt it is pocket change for ebay though
I never heard of Marktplaats.nl until now. I sell a bit of products on eBay that have a few Netherlands customers. I am not sure if its better to list on eBay or on this Marktplaats.nl site. I am thinking people from the Netherlands can get a better price buying and importing products eBay USA than from Marktplaats.nl. (Products for resale mostly)
I wonder when eBay is going to boot yahoo auctions off the Japanese market or buy them out.

I think people buy more on marktplaats than on ebay. Besides that as you might have noticed marktplaats is in dutch witch gives the dutch visitors a better feeling about it all then when they look at ebay.com. I also think dutch people are a bit affraid to order/buy something outside the netherlands.
On marktplaats they have the idea that when they get fucked they can always go to the cops or something as it is all a local thing ;)
