I'm considering upping the cost of a membership from 24.95 to 27.95. I have enough unique content to warrant the price raise. What do y'all think about pricing structures and do you think that raising it to 27.95 will affect sales?
I'm thinking about raising my prices.

Well we'll see because I just changed it to 29.95. Nothing wrong with more money.Originally posted by DonovanPhillipsI've tried all pricing levels from 19.95 to 39.95. For membership to just one site I've found that 29.95 out converts them all.Comment

I agree ... i think $19.95 comes off as cheap = bad quality ... $24.95 is ok but if you go to $27.95 ..it looks like your just milking a $24.95 quality site ... $29.95 is higher on the scale but give the impression that it's exclusive and high quality content .... you just have to live up to that to keep the re-bills ..Originally posted by DonovanPhillipsI've tried all pricing levels from 19.95 to 39.95. This is one of those unagreeable subjects.
For this reason we have custom coded our own solution (among many) allowing our affiliates to choose what price points THEY want to promote. All with one click and no changing links.
Make everyone happy.
Happy affiliates = $

So which price of a monthly membership seems to convert the most? (excluding trails)Originally posted by BVThis is one of those unagreeable subjects.

Based on my experience cheaper prices have higher conversion ratios, that does not mean you make more money though.
For a no trial recurring membership I do not want to go to high, anything over 23.95 lowers conversions too much and hurts my gross revenue.
As far as trial tours same rule applies, cheaper the trial higher the conversion. I feel that a higher price trial weeds out the cheapo "only interested in trial" members that cancel before even entering the members area. If I do run a trial, I prefer the 7.95 mark. Make a little money even if they do cancel and does not lower conversions that much.
non recurring membership you can go higher and make awesome conversions and make good money
Our default settings are 7.95 trial/ 23.95 recurring. I have concluded that this works best for us.
My second choice would be 23.95 recurring / no trial.Comment
