For a more balanced picture of Thanksgiving indulgence, this exceptional hunk of Turkey flesh was offered for our consumption. The picture couldn't do it justice. If I hadn't had it in my mouth and didn't have a memory of that right now, this picture might look gross. But you know how that is -- lol
For the cooks in the audience, this is a 7lb breast that mom peeled of its skin, slathered in butter, then reattached skin for browning and flavor purposes, along with liberal amounts of bacon from a pig that hung from the "pig-bleed" pictured above, it's meat smoked in a pit with maple syrup 10 minutes from the tree and hickory logs felled by mom. OMG -- one of the best flavor events of my life.
