    How was everyone's Thanksgiving?

HOLY SHIT, mine was Awesome! Had 2 dinners to attend (her family and mine) and it was great! My family had the fried turkey and honey baked ham with all the sides. We ate that meal at 1pm and just hung out with my family as my parents preached to her about what she could and couldn't do while she's pregnant (yep, I expect offspring...scary thought, heh? )

Went to have dinner with her family at 5pm and it worked out perfectly because I was hungry again. We went to her grandmother's house and we had 2 types of turkey there...smoked and baked. This is the first time I've ever had a smoked turkey and it was fucking unbelievable!!! So moist with a rich smokey flavor! I enjoyed it tremendiously!

We then sat back, had a couple beers and just shot the shit with her family.

I had a great time with her family (the best in-laws you could ever imagine having) and we had a great time with my family. Other than gaining 10lbs, it was a perfect day.

I hope everyone here had a similar day and regardless of how bad you think your life is; you still have something to be thankful for.

I cooked a white wine goose instead of a turkey this year. It was pretty damn good too. Weird thing I've found out about a goose: The entire thing is dark meat. I took the pan drippings and made gravy for the mashed potatoes, which turned out pretty good, and we made some cranberry sauce out of a recipe I saw on the Food Network. Now I'm cleaning up the mess

To each his or her own. If that is what makes you happy then that is what you should be doing.
