A disabled young London man learned the hard way today ( Nov 22nd) just how popular Microsoft's new X-Box 360 is.
Just before 11am 23 year old Kevin Henderson picked up his new game at Best Buy and was heading out to the parking lot with it when he was approached by a black male wearning a leather jacket.
The man suddenly grabbed the X-Box from him and started running with Kevin behind him. He was joined by Best Buy employees who saw what was happening.
The chase continued across Wellington Road to the White Oaks Mall where the suspect dropped the electronic game system .
As police arrived and starting looking for the suspect, the visually and hearing impaired Kevin was left to ponder why he had been targetted. According to him, " I think it's unfortunate that people have to be so low to get something like this... and you don't know what's going on in their minds"
Kevin was among thousands of others who wanted to be first to get their hands on the 400 dollar plus X-Box 360 which, it seems, has improved graphics over the original along with other new features.
Kevin had to wait until later in the day to use his game player because he had an exam at Westervelt College.
The manager of Best Buy has invited Kevin back in order to compensate him for his brush with the X-Box bandit.
