Candid Clicks is temporarily closing

Although it is unfortunate to have come to this, but until further notice Candid Clicks will be closed. So for now please take your links down and use another blind link program. I can assure you that we will be back sooner or later. It may be as soon as a week to as late as a few months.

This worthless piece of spamming slime is sending out emails with links to what may be REAL CHILD PORN and stating to be removed you must call 1-866-4-CANDID or email [email protected]

Our site is down this whole time and those worthless dirtbag piece of slime has to rub it in by spamming real CP.

We will from here on actively work with the FBI and other law enforcement authorities to catch this cyber terrorist and hopefully place him or her in JAIL. What has happened to us can happen to any sponsor, and we must immediately put a stop to it.

Please do not worry about payments. Checks for last period and this period will be paid IN FULL for all traffic sent. Checks and paypals for last period will be going out tomorrow the 20th of August.

Candid Clicks was a great webmaster program, and don't worry we'll be back stronger than ever. By than we might also have some additional webmaster programs for our webmasters to choose from too! Although Candid Clicks will be down, this will not be halting our development arm of Candid Publishing, Inc.

When Candid Clicks is ready to re-launch again, we shall dispatch an email out.

You guys should give me a call we might have some things to discuss. I have had two similar completely numbing malicious professional spam attacks in the last 3 weeks. The intention of both was to put me out of business. Thankfully, my upstream provider and I see eye to eye on this so in that respect they have failed miserably, twice.

However, I'm hell bent and blood-thirsty.

My circumstance was absolutely the result of professional spammers and the volume of spam that was sent out... well, let's just say the bounced emails alone from each mailing totaled about 125,000.

Maybe if we can compare my shit list of dirtbags to your list we can find a commonality and skull fuck the people that are responsible for this. <cough> I have some ideas.

Interesting how this spammer targetted you. This spammer also targetted Dialer King and myself. If it's the same guy of course.

Who is your upstream? Mine is Level3, and they took the heat for about 2 weeks but couldn't take it anymore then.

Sorry to hear that C.Clicks. I hope you'll find the bastard and put him at least in jail. SinEmpire had a similar attack not to long time ago, but fortunately not for CP. As far Sasush as you said he is not capable for sure to do such thing and of course involved with CP is the lowest thing on earth someone can do and honestly he deserves death penalty. I'm sure Sasush is not related with this anyhow.

I know that pro spammers can avoid tracing for some time, but this is happening for too long. It surprises me that you haven't find the bastard with the help of FBI. Keep every single email you can find related with the spam and show them to the authorities. Even if he is using proxies, open relays etc some of the hijacked servers he is using should have recorded at some point his IP.

You can't really prevent...but one way to slow down the damage done is by not allowing webmaster to send traffic without a referring url (exit console, etc) unless they get permission from you and are whitelisted.

That way if a spam attack DOES occur, you can redirect all non referring traffic to a page stating the situation. It will buy you some time...a good 2 weeks...rather than days.

If it goes beyond 2 weeks...your backbone will slowly start to demand that you shut off the domain.

This time of spam attack seems to be extremely rare. Like the kind Brad had lasted only a few days.....the one I'm a viction of has been lasting weeks...non stop.

The backbone will cut you some slack for a week or two....but then they'll demand the domain down because it's a "solution" for them since it's stops complaints going TO THEM.

Oh yeah a sponsor like ARS or CE could easily be shut down this way .....their cc processor would probably burst faster than their backbone though.

The current anti spam menality is part of the problem too....it's very flawed and it's pretty much gulity until proven innocent.

Candid, there is one sector of folks that you haven't mentioned so far in any of your threads that this could very well be coming from... anti-porn church groups.

We have seen that SOME of them will do ANYthing to force their agendas... such as the abortion clinic bombings. If they are willing to KILL people for their cause, then sending CP would be a small matter. And I'm betting they have members that can spoof on this level that you are experiencing.

Just a thought for you to mull over.

Exactly....man whats fucked up about this is that spammer has won his battle againts you & got your domain shut down.

The more domains that get shut down for these reasons, the more the spammers will do it.

Something needs to be done about this quickly.
