    Looking To Start A Chat Site

    I am looking to start an adult chat site or network and I want to call it pmchat.com.
    I have owned this domain for a very long time - about ten years - but have never really developed it as I originally intended.

    I have several servers and plenty of bandwidth, but aside from MIRC, I am not familiar with current chat proggys or chat networks to hook up with.

    I am a systems admin by trade and very savvy in most server areas, but I am looking for someone to clue me in on this one.

    If anyone can point me to a good proggy (and/or chat network), It would be sincerely appreciated.

    I would also be interested in partnering up with someone with established credentials in this area.

      I have been looking for the same for some time. Check some of the recommendations in the main Fucking Around section. Do a search. A lot of recommendations, depending on what you wanted. I still have no found a Yahoo Chat like I want with cam support and profiles.

          If your looking for set up like cams.com or other simlar standard type cam site made to your spec/name let me know as i have base scripts/technology etc already and just need to tweek to suit you.

          What I cant offer is a totally new community/non standard type project as it would take a long time to do .

                  What I am looking for is a simple text type of chatroom with some embellishments - like personal profiles and whatnot.

                  I worked for the "old" Pornication "cam site" back in it's heyday and that train left the station a really long time ago.

                  It's my belief that people still want to - and always will - want to communicate with other adults for whatever purpose/gratification that they see fit.

                      I can build custom chatrooms with a portal if thats what you are looking for. I cant really get technical like cams but for just chatrooms I can do.

                          Hi There Pink,

                          Software is great in itself, and if you can write it well, God bless you.

                          But software by itself is pretty much useless unless there are people to connect to.

                          I used to spend many hours years ago in the "old school" chatrooms when the web was young.

                          I find it hard to believe that the same thing doesn't exist anymore somewhere.
