I totally agree. The statistic I quoted (from seeing it on tv, damned if I can find a citation online anywhere) was from all time best opening week, as in the amount it earned in the first seven days. The numbers you're citing are overall revenue... of which I'm sure that, eventually, goblet of fire will occupy a high place, if not the highest.
It'll have earned the place it achieves, imo. Great film, and a very worthy adaptation from the book, even if it did have to trim down some of the more colorful but non-plot-advancing bits.
