so i got a new hobby doing video editing

for about the past month using adobe premier 9.0 and now im addicted to it i learnt he program pretty fast still have lots to improve though so im willing to make an offer. Im offering the first four people on gfy 1 free trailer to be made or edited. The reason why Im offering these services for free is Im trying to build up a portfolio so I can show future clients my work and right now I have nothing to show anyone. However you must provide me with the following:

Music you would like on the video
Logos if you have any
Text you would like on the video

p.s. the only catch is that I would be allowed to add the work I do in my portfolio so I have something to show to future clients.

2257 is a little different then the old law but in a way its has its advantages and disadvantages ;)

well the disadvantage is that you have to put your full name location etc.. which makes it easier for stalkers to locate you etc which im sure whoever made up that law in the first place never even thought of anyones safety online but on the good side it helps prevent child porn

Im not looking fight with you Im trying to help you. If you want to do a portfolio and there is hardcore stuff .Either they have to host it for you or you have to have the 2257 info. This is based on you being in the US.

Not a lot of production companies or even amateur producers are ready to send out masters or even copies of masters to someone they haven't seen any work from. It's hard to get your foot in the door with post production gigs.. offer to do hard drive swaps or something.

Actually, thats how I started out, I just offered to do 2 trailers for free. People were impressed by what I did and thing just started off like that.

Smart people will give someone a chance, because that chance might lead to something MUCH bigger. Of course, you need to be smart about it, don't go giving your entire library to them, start with small projects.

When you have someone who is enthusiastic about something, its good to nurture them and let them grow
