Mustangs are the poor man's sports car.

Corvettes are now going for $70k a pop. They look more like Ferraris than Vettes these days. Very nice, very fast.

i thought el camino's were white trash cars. or old trans ams with oversized spoilers. at 70k a piece, it is far from what any whitetrash/redneck can afford to dream about.

Yeah, I've noticed that certain makes/models get linked to certain demographics. For example, cabriolets/bugs are supposed to be 'chick' cars, etc

I guess it's the same dynamic at play that links high end cars to certain other demographics.
