do you kiss your mother with that mouth Harmon? im glad you got to feel superior for a while, god knows a guy like you probably needs the occasional ego boost, but im well aware of the way this stuff normally works. if no one is interested, fine, thats business. but i dont come here to get abuse from dickheads looking to blow off steam.
obviously, this is a non standard license that im looking for, and i expect scepticism, which is why im fishing for leads here.
the way my proposal would work is i would be able to sell leased videos while the lease was in effect. of course, upon termination of the lease i would cease all usage of content. the only modification to the standard lease scenario is that i would be able to sell the licensers videos as individual files instead of tying in to a stream provided by the licenser.
in case im not being clear, the whole point of this is to sell a greater range of content sooner than i would be able to by buying licenses outright. i would certainly start buying large bundles outright as soon as possible as that will always be better in the long run.
from the licensers point of view this is effectively identical to providing video via a stream. whether the video comes from the licensee as a discrete file or the licenser as a stream doesnt make any difference in the financial equation. in fact, there is actually an advantage in that the licenser is not paying for bandwidth.
