NO ONE CARESSOriginally posted by thekingThe time for voting has long since been up and though the official final tally has not been read...the count stands at 3 Democrats (out of the 435 member House) voting for withdrawal of our troops from Iraq.
Hmm...Democrats overwhelmingly voted for the invasion of Iraq...and now are on record of having overwhelmingly voted against withdrawing from Iraq.
The last pole that I saw only 19% of Americans are in favor of withdrawing from Iraq...so I assume the Democrats paid attention.
This should shut the Democrats up for a time about our involvement in Iraq...but it won't.Comment

All they were trying to do was discredit John Murtha. This is a man who has been one of the great patriots of our time, and they knew when he came out and said lets get out, that they are in trouble. Murtha is a very conservative dem, and also a supporter of the military.Originally posted by spunkmaster"Our troops are getting killed for nothing and republicans are playing games"
Then why did only 3 vote for pulling the troops out?
Once again, the republicans, instead of listening to the ideas of a smart and very brave man (2 purple hearts and a bronze star) chose to pull a political stunt. Murtha was asking for a phase withdraw in about 6 months.
Murtha has been visiting the army hospital every week and talking to the troops who have lost limbs and such. When was the last time one of the current administration has been to the hospital. Unless there are cameras, very few times.
Maybe that's because Murtha is a decorated veteran, and the Pres is a draft dodger, and the vp is a 5 time deferment. Who would you believe?Comment

I'm not a foreigner, I'm a fuckin American.
Everybody knows the vote thing was a political trick, and means nothing.
Unfortunately, I don't think we should just pull out, as attractive as the idea is.
We fucked up their country good and severe, and we owe them more help and protection that we've given them.
What we do need to do is impeach Bush.Comment
