when do you put your Xmas tree up??

i think people usually put theirs up the weekend of thanksgiving if i remember correctly.

just starting to see Xmas stuff for sale, the town is already decorated and such...its mid-November...is it about that time??

Christmas decorations have been up around here for a couple of weeks. Even the big ones that the city puts on all the light posts. It was 85 damn degrees and the workers were all out in shorts and no shirts screwing in sleighs and Santa Clauses.

I usually put my stuff up the day after Thanksgiving or that Saturday.

ours went up 1.5 weeks ago, my wife LOVES christmas...just seeing the tree makes her 200% happier around the house...so the decision to put it up was obvious haha

christmas decorations were in the stores here the week after halloween

I put mine up dec 21st or so...if at all. I fucking hate xmas, the commercialism of it.. buy buy buy buy.
I do like the family gettogether and good food, I just personally think gifts are unnecessary (since we don't have any kids in the family anymore either, youngest is 24).. We still buy presents to eachother, even though nobody really wants to. No idea why.

We decorate the house the 1st weekend in Decemeber... Put the lights outside in the yard, some inflatable shit in there as well.... my neighbors started with putting tons of shit outside a few years ago and cracked on us for not really having alot outside.

We went totally fucking griswold on them the next years and each year we add more shit just to fuck with the neighbors. You can probably spot my house from space when its all on.

The tree comes in about the 15th or so...I get a 10 ft tree for the house and out 2 days after xmas to clean up for the annual New years party we throw down here at the house.

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we dust off the artificial tree, and hang the lights and such, and then on Sunday prepare our Xmas cards to go out the following Monday.

Nothing should go up before Dec 1...and we get a real tree so that goes up in the middle of Dec and doesn't usually last until Jan 1. I can only vaccuum up so many needles ;)
