    Do you think all the old school porners could not hang if they had to start over now?

    What do you all think....i was chatting with someone and we came to the conclusion that if a lot of these old school porners/webmasters had to start over today, there is no way they could make it they did before

    I am not knockin anyone really....just wondering who has evolved, and who has stayed exactly the same and hasn't bothered learning the new ways of the trade?

          keep in mind, I am also including big tgp guys, big paysite owners that only have the one paysite, a few tgp's, etc...

          if they had to start today with NO MONEY, like a lot of the newbs do now....could they find their way back to the top again?

              Stayed exactly the same = Has always done their own work. Has always made their own pages, creatives, and relies on more than circle jerk fake tgps.

              New ways of the trade = Demands that the program owners do everything for them, provide them with thousands of pre made plug in galleries with descriptions, pay for their hosting, hold their hand at every step, give them custom design, personal landing pages, and basicly do all of the work for them.


              Hmm yes, how oh how could us old schoolers survive?

                  BS, the old schoolers know what works and what doesn't. They also have the contacts to get things done. I think 90% would be back on top in 3 months.

                      i am talking more about the sleazydreams, hun, suicidegirls, etc....

                      what about the hun...if everything was taken away today, think he could get back up there?

                                  The hun is there because he was there. That was his strength. If you open a site with no trades and add 50 clean galleries a day, how long woul it take to get 1mill visitors a day? I doubt that would be possible, do you?

                                          But then how old school do ya mean?

                                          When American Porn trade started?
                                          After Hustler and Playboy, Penthouse broke ground?

                                          Or when the internet started?
                                          Like Flynt never opened a print mag and discovered the internet?

                                          I think things in History have predicated what we got today.
                                          Things couldnt happen without others.

                                          In short maybe you are wondering if they are smart enough?
                                          They were smart from day one with the instinct so I would say yes.

                                              No affiliates are not all that exists in this world. Just the majority are and will always be one. The small percentage that makes the cross over leap is roughly the same either way though, no matter if it was then or now.

                                              Could anyone build another site like the hun that is as popular as the hun, more than likely not. That is purely a right time, right idea sort of deal.
                                              Sleazy though did build his up using some creativity, so I am pretty sure yes his type could be accomplished again.

                                                          Success means hard work and staying ahead of the pack, and staying up with the technology.

                                                          If they had IT once, there's no reason why they couldn't do it again.

                                                          Although, I am sure there are some exceptions, such as Al Goldstein.
