I just picked up a Canon Digital Rebel XT and I'm looking for a 300mm lens. I see the Canon 75-300 F/4.5-6 III USM SLR Lens which is $219 or the Sigma 28-300 ASP 3.5-6.3 HZ for $399, plus I'm sure that there's others out there.
The camera is only being used for home use, not anything professional, however I'd like to get something that's gonna do good for me
Is the cheap Canon lens sufficient or is it better to go with something better ? I'm not big SLR guy, so I figured that I'd ask you, the experts
