    "Prosecutor Russell McGuire said Jaynes from Raleigh, North Carolina, amassed a net wealth of $24 million peddling worthless products to AOL customers."

                  That conviction is the biggest bunch of shit to ever happen! What a joke.

                  I could understand for some of the things that he was doing with the spam like collecting the cc numbers, but they convicted him of SPAM!


                  That is one of the things that happens when a company like AOL id based in DC. they lobby, and get anything they want.

                                                                                              The Jury wants to give him 9 years. The judge reserves the right to reduce or throw the sentence out completely. We won't know the outcome of that until January.

                                                                                              This guy is going to most likely get time served and a huge ass fine. The judge knows the evidence was weak.

I can't see someone getting that kind of sentence for just spam. Every guy they have busted before that was spamming was busted for another reason.. Like fraud, identity theft and so on. So this guy was fraud then spam was just the delivery method.
