    Why no AOL IM spam? With all this talk, Im curious.

    Why is it that there isn't any AOL IM spam? (other than the fact they are suing people now). ICQ has it all the time, probably due to their dumb numbering scheme, but I have never seen one for AOL or Yahoo.

    Anybody know why?

    I know someone who wrote a sweet AOL IM bot a while back that collected names and logged the chatrooms they were in. it could have been easily converted to give great segmented user groups.. (ie.. people in the sex chatroom are pretty good candidates for porn).

                  Maybe they are only targetting true AOL users, and not the IM only users?
