I don't recommend it of course, but it's not as bad as extortion on someone more innocent. You might be less likely to have charges pressed I'd think.

Beating someone isn't exactly legal either. Beating someone down who stole from you is something you can probably quite easily get away with.

Using force to recover stolen property is actually legal.
You cannot use dealy force but subduing(

) someone to recover what's in their hand is totally legal.

You don't have to let someone take your shit and then pray for the cops to catch them you can catch(

) them and make an arrest yourself.

Umm make it legal. Why risk it? Press charges, and reach an out of court settlement with lawyers involved. No extortion, you get your money because he's scared shitless.

The police can't (and probably won't) do shit about this, so I've gotta do something myself.
It's something pretty small but extremely annoying, and what I want is a good way to teach the guy a lesson without having to use violence.
