Sometimes you need the source and not the product to get the result and the pills of Hoodia may not be anywhere near as chemically effective as the plant.

Stackers have something like the akaloid that is found in ephedrine, or at least that is how I understand it...apparently from I have read the past night, it makes ya pretty wired
as for hoodiah....I took 2 this morning when I woke up for the first time, I noticed a little bit of a suppressed appetite, but nothing near what the old ephedrine pills were like
