Of 4 causes listed, smoking was the only one I was involved in. Have had the surgery to remove them (no problem, no pain) and should have the catheter out of my dick this afternoon. Prostate didn't like operating tool and got inflamed so it wouldn't allow me to pee.

Still waiting for pathology report. Not out of the woods yet.

The kicker? Only been smoking for 5 years. Hits men, over 50 mostly, but not necessarily. If you're in that range, I'd suggest you get tested, quickly. Blood/urine and radiological x-rays will tell you your status, without using the "dick-o-scope." The "dick-o-scope" is a 5-10 procedure but they pump your dick full of lidocaine gel before insertion, plus they usually give you something to "calm your nerves." I had all of this done, including the surgery, last week.

Talk about having a reason to quit!! It's now been 17 days since my last cig and I haven't had one bit of an urge to go back.

This is NOT something you hear about and you don't know you have it until it's too late, without testing. Ball's in your court.

Wow... glad you made it out alive. Are there going to be any long term injuries/pain?

I am only 29 so I have plenty of time to deal with my vices. I want to quit for several reasons. And I know I can quit when I am ready. I don't want to quit now, I enjoy it. But the more I see things caused by smoking, the more I think about making myself be ready

I hope you feel better soon, and my best wishes to your family for having to see you go through this.
