Orasure Tech swings to quarterly profit (4:32 PM ET) SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatrch) -- Orasure Technologies Inc.(OSUR)after Wednesday's closing bell reported third-quarter net earnings of $3.81 million, or 8 cents a share. In the same period last year, the company reported a net loss of $294,000, or a penny a share. Revenue at the Bethlehem, Pa.-based company rose to $18.1 million from $14.2 million last year and gross margin was 64% vs. 60%. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had estimated earnings of 5 cents a share on revenue of $18 million. Orasure sees 2006 revenue rising 25% from 2005, and pro forma earnings of 18 cents to 20 cents a share.
