                                                                                                                                                                                      I am proud to be an american because when in a time of need my fellow americans pulled together and helped each other regardless of color, sexual preference, geneder, and political beliefs. There were countless volunteers on 9-11 that rushed down to the wtc to search for survivors, to help with recovery, to do what ever they could.

                                                                                                                                                                                      In fact there were so many volunteers nyc had to turn some away. Firemen from across this country pulled into nyc looking to do whatever it took. Some stayed in nyc for weeks.


                                                                                                                                                                                      Being a proud American isnt just about the last 4 years of a presidency either. It entails much more....

                                                                                                                                                                                              Most people are born into a country, they don't immigrate there. They didn't chose to be a citizen of that country. And if they don't like the country they probably want to leave. Not everyone can though. It takes a huge investment to relocate to a different country... not to mention the immigration process (they'd most likely need a visa, which means they'd have to find a job there beforehand, or they'd need relatives there to sponsor them etc.)
