One of my old business partners moved down to Mexico about 12 years ago. He moved to Acapulco. Bought a fishing boat and started a fishing charter biz. He loved it down there but after 2 years said he missed all the diversity of Los Angeles and moved back.

I'm in Guadalajara. Please, all whiners, stay away from Mexico. We don't need any more whiny/bitchy Gringos down here. I'm American and I stay as far away from them as I can get.

You're in for a truly enlightening "culture shock" if you move down here. They've never heard the term "politically correct." The only reason I made it in and got the appropriate papers and all is I'm married to a Mexicana National.

The Mexican Government doesn't appreciate non-Spanish speaking Gringos. They won't "cater" to your bitching and moaning for one moment.

No, Mexico is NOT the place for you. Try France or Spain. Or, you can be like Dalai and claim "Europe" and be a "chilango."
