If the Electoral College were tied 269-269 ..

And the House went to Democrats but the Senate stayed Republican, and all Electors vote the way they're expected too (rarely they cast their Electoral Vote other than the way they're supposed to) ... Imagine what we'd have:

    Kerry/Cheney

    Wouldn't that be a Sonof a bitch?

Presumably, no. Kerry would appoint the new Attorney General.

The House should remain in republicans hands. But the the Dems win back the Senate then you get. Bush/Edwards.

Imagine an Electoral tie but the House and Senate remain Repulican.

Four more years. THAT might start a civil war.

John Titor (do a Google search) told of a civil war in 2005.

Yeah I know all about John Titor. If that guy isn't for real (and I seriously doubt he is), someone spent a lot of time developing that character.

Yup so he says. Not a civil war in the manner we'd think of "war". He says it starts with a series of "Waco" like events happening closer and closer together over a series of years.

So I guess we look for some Lunatics to get their compound burned down around May.

It's possible it was an Author developing a character. That he first researched and developed the character, then presented it out for people to try and poke holes in to thus allowing him to refine the character.

Regardless -- the House will be Republican and the Senate will likely be Democrat.
