I agree, any support might be welcomed but the more professional the better.

    Sorry about your loss btw.

              Eros,

I know what you mean. My ex's mother is a paranoid skitz, she would write him these letters that would start out totally coherant, and then start drifting into crazy talk, and then by the 3rd page you couldn't even make out the words.
She now lives in a halfway home and goes by the name "Zoro". Sometimes reality is way more fucked than anything you could make up.

My best friend's mom did that. Once with a kitchen knife. She lived- but she was in the hospital for a long time and she has a plastic plate in her gut because they had to operate so many times her abdominal muscles were shot.
I'll never forget that night. I remember walking up the street and seeing the hospital hellicopter and saying to her sister, "Hey, that looks like your house?" Then our friend drove by and scooped us up. We went back to my place. After they got home I just remember my best friend crying on the phone for hrs. It was such a shitty time.
It's the worst when Moms pull that shit- you got family you have to care for.

I have seen the proof with my own eyes. And don't bother with the argument of "a mentally sound person would not be experimenting with drugs in the first place". The brother of my husband's good friend got severely fucked up from one hit of acid. Not his first, but one bad trip is all it takes. They've tried everything to bring him back. They even tried giving him more acid...lol. That was years ago, and still he can't be left alone unsupervised for even a moment.
So while you want to talk about "clinical proof", I can say that I don't need "clinical", when I have "visual" proof in front of my eyes. You can argue that he was already messed up, but no more so than myself or any one of my friends who experimented with potentially dangerous drugs as teenagers. I had the worst scare of my life while on acid, and I know first hand what mind-altering drugs can do to a person... not only mentally, but physically as well.
