Halloween in Iowa (Pics)

Iowa kicks ass. Sure, there's lots of farms, but everybody know's that farming rocks. Anyway, I was in Iowa and for Halloween we went last minute costume shopping. We couldn't find a store open or instock anywhere. Finally we found one at a mall and we arrived just in time - 5 min before it closed. We ended up becoming a religious gang as a nun, a monk, and a Jesus with a hair cut, and then we hit the mean streets to party it up. (and it was freezing cold outside)

I was the Nun, so of course you know what was on my mind... UPSKIRT SHOT!

The clubs were crazy and girls were dancing on the bar. It kicked total ass.

The best part of it was all the hot girls (age 19-21). The bars/clubs in the area allow 19+ to get in.

Angels are hot.

A lot of times yeh, it really depends though. California is a lot more strict about alcohol than other states. I grew up in Iowa and went to bars with my dad several times, had a few drinks every now and then too, was 15-16 at the time.

I'm headed back to Iowa this weekend for my dads wedding. Not looking forward to the cold at all.

haha nice, ya there is a bar here that lets in 18+ to dance etc, they mark hands and start taking pics of them after 50 or so of em get in there. They try to wash the marker / or tear the wrist band off and go buy drinks. College towns

Hey - pretty cool indeed..

I was born and raised in IC. I left there in 1991 at the age of 21 years old..

IC is a great great town - I really do miss it. I hate the cold though, so haven't gone back.

not many WM from Iowa around. I am unfortunately one of them. Cedar Rapids, the city of 5 smells....

there is a a battle brewing over allowing 19 and 20 year olds in the bars in IC. The bar owners crying that they would lose money and of course on the other side of the coin is excessive drinking by those who are underage.

I never knew so many people are from that state. It's amazing. I myself spent most of my highschool time in a small town near Decorah but graduated from Ankeny. Then went to college at the U of I. Iowa City brought back too many fond memories and now I'll be visiting 2 close friends that live there often for some Halo and some drinking festivities

When were you up by Decorah? I used to go trout fishing around there every spring. Camped near Pulpit Rock, played in "the cut" and explored the ice cave :-)

BTW - I went to U of I from 1978-81. My dad was a music professor at U of I until 1978.

BTW - I just realized I said I left IC in 1991 in an earlier post. I meant 1981.
