    Rods - Have you heard of these bugs?

    I was editing my movie Taboo XXI today and I noticed what looked like a white line video drop out on the tape - so I re-digitized the footage and it was still there - but when I looked at it closer - I noticed it wasn't a drop out but a flying bug that flew through a shaft of light in the scene - then I noticed it was a rod - I saw something about this a while back on tv and here it was in my porn - it is hard to see but it's there - here is a link if you don't know about rods:

    Nobody seems to know what these things are - they only show up on video or pics - no one has ever caught one - are they real? alien? wtf?

    I know it doesn't look like much in a still frame but this fucker looks just like the ones on the rods site when you see it on video.

          The "rods" on the videos on the mentioned website appears to be bullets.

                  I think I've seen one of those things before.

                  I thought it was a ghost or something though. It was a shooting light thing with strange fractal edges but I only saw it out of the corner of my eye. It flew past my head.

                  crazy I've never seen that site before, and I have searched all over for what the hell I saw. And it wasn't one of those floating orb lights you see in pics, it was more angular. yikes.

                          Jose Escamilla is no dummy and the evidence he presents is compelling. Most people will instantly say the rods are fake or lens flares or whatever but that's bullshit. I remember a couple of years ago when rods first got mainstream press after appearing on film shot for a major news network. The network itself (ABC? Fox? I forget) aknowledged the rods' presence on the film and did a story or two on them.

                                  I wager an reflection, or imperfection on the tape perhaps.

                                  Rods do not seem to happen in DV or are there any cases of this?
