Domain name appraisals

i don't think "appraisals" are really that valid. like on eBay people selling sites say that the domain was appraised for 5k......yeah right. the domain is worth what someone will pay for it. some people obviously will value it more than others. go ahead and post it and i'm sure you'll get plenty of feedback on what people think it is worth.....you may even get some legitimate offers.

...i been in business for over 2 years now, its real, and its totally legit. The company itself, Extremekidnapping, has received international publicity, and it continues to. I just did the Howard Stern show about 2 weeks ago, which didn't go that great btw.
We were feat. in FHM in august, and Playboy just called.

Anyway, the problem is i'm trying to find out what the domain name itself is worth.
I've heard that it has fetish value and would be valuable to those in the force fantasy, rape genre an all that crazy fetish niche stuff.
However, thats not what I use the site for, my shit is totally different, its a totally legit kidnapping adventure service.

On the other hand, it wouldn't make sense to have the business without the domain.
The domain could be bought and used, even if they were not interested in my business...but keeping my business without the domain would be dumb. ..

I'd probably want to sell the business with the domain.

So keep that in mind when you mention how much you think its worth. A value for just the domain by itself, and one with the business too.

Well I have to agree with the other, the domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Because the domain is not very unique or a highly desired keyword, like sex.com and unless it includes some income generation content that a new owner could make money from just by maintaining the website......the domain itself is worth now more than $35.00 (the highest one registration cost at Network Solutions domain registration.

What's the business worth ?, well that would require you to provide us all here your last two years financial statements and balance sheets along with a host of other legal data like corporate minutes, bylaws, any employee continuation agreements, etc, etc......and then after all that, it is again what someone is willing to pay for it.

What are the two worth combined, probably not much more than the business is worth, say an additional $1000 to avoid the inconvenience of having to find another domain like extreme-kidnapping*com.
