After a few months I've decided to go with boiling water, let it sit for 3mins, drop the FL in and set down the vegetable oil bottle in the pot (OFF the burner)...... let sit for 5 mins in the pot, pull out...wait for 2-3 mins (I'm sure everyone can find 'something' to do for this amount of time - such as prep a movie) and off I went.
All I can say - WAY WAY worth it.
However, there is only ONE thing I would recommend for change.. the outer cover. It's hard plastic and can hurt if you 'flop out' and slide up against the lip of the shell. Add some rubber/foam to the edge - and well.... we've got a serious winner.
