i've seen a couple programs have them.
don't really use them though.

I use them.
They're great to round out a link list of your own freesites.
I've also seen them used on some of the bigger linklists.
And Epic Cash has got em, btw

If anyone consider adding them to their program. Make sure you provide title and description too. Not all linklists writes their own descriptions. Maybe even have them in a format that makes it easy to import them in batches in your LL script. For example:
Title|Description|URL
Makes life a lot easier and more likely to use your hosted free sites
