I think the US army was running an experiment at Abu Graib a little while ago. But the results were inconclusive since all the liberal party poopers shut it down before we could get one to die from sleep depravation. -
When I was younger I did a LOT of meth. I stayed up for three weeks striaght once. After the 4th or 5th day you forget that you should go to sleep every now and again and it starts to feel "normal".
Of course when I did fall asleep I was standing in a shower and my body just shut down without asking permission or anything. I think I slept about 3 days straight, I don't remember exactly.Comment

A few years ago I stayed up for about a week because I just couldn't sleep...But I normally only get 3 or 4 hours a night so it wasn't that extreme for me...Comment

Longest single period; 5 days/nights straight. This was in Jan, '66. We were in constant contact with North Vietnamese in Bong Son, Central Highlands, Vietnam. Throughout the 45+ day engagement, I probably got a total of 30 hours sleep. That sort of "lifestyle" doesn't afford you much "shut-eye." And when I use the term "contact," it's defined as "engaging by fire."Comment

I didn't really plan on it - I was selling dope and it just seemed like everytime I made a delivery I would do some with the customer, kind of like a social thing. Before i knew it I was doing a 16th a day and hadn't slept in weeks.Originally posted by Basic_man

yep on meth too I atyed up for 4 days but didnt like it so stopped it and never continued but had friends who stayed up for 3 weeks straight no problem....I dont thinkits possible to stay awake without drugs longer than 24 hours without dozing off unless you have surging adrenaline ....yeh meth will do that to youOriginally posted by Wolfy
