Bell Isle Pics I Took (PICS)

Here are some pictures I took of Belle Isle from across the water, I was standing on te detroit side near Jefferson. These were all taken with my Rebel XT using my 75mm-300mm Lens

The Bridge to Get onto Belle Isle

Heres a picture of the lightHouse

a Picture of the Marina

The Park on Belle Isle

just rocks in the water

Empty docks and an American Flag

Old Yacht Club

And then here is a picture of one of the apartment buildings in DOwntown Detroit on Jefferson

Just a quick tip, for scenic shots try to find something in the foreground to add interest to the pic... it will be a bit more difficult with a 75mm lens and 1.6X crop though.

These arnt really scenic shots, there just pictures I took of Belle Isle because so much stuff in detroit is changing and there demolishing buildings.

The architecture in Detroit is awesome though. Some of the old buildings are just cool as hell, it's too bad the city needs to be nuked.

Cool about learning photography though, I have been wanting to take that up as a hobby for some time as well.

acidmax thanks, and where do you live by the way? Ya i didnt actually go on belle isle just across the river from Jefferson, my buddy owns a supermarket right there and I was hangin out so i crossed jefferson for some pics

I live in Central Michigan now in the Clare area. Slower pace, easier living, no hustle and bustle, and beautiful country. I lived downstate my entire life, lived in Novi from about the age of 5 until I moved up here 2 years ago.

Detroit should be paved over and we make it one huge amusement park....

MOST of Michigan is as picturesque as one could ever imagine....slow paced life as mentioned, and the cost of living is very reasonable....

Its that colder than any human should have to suffer through from November to April that kind of puts a kink in the place....

Born and raised there... and promptly left at 18
