anything that's successful on the internet will always be used and abused and exploited....the internet is like one big multi level marketing cloud......there is no way to fix that...

Exactamundo.... No matter what amount of image verification / security hoops they put on certain sites and certain modes of marketing, nothing will change the fact that IF IT GENERATES TRAFFIC, SOMEONE WILL EXPLOIT IT AND MAX OUT ITS POTENTIAL

Image verification used to stop a lot of the automated shit in its tracks... but thanks to outsourcing and per hour rates that are rockbottom, even IV is ineffective. The only real effective barrier I see is a qualitative one instead of an anti-automation one.

There are ways to do it responsibly so as not to get swept up and banned

The most obvious is offer REAL content. Also, customize each response or comment and offer real content.

I doubt they'll do it. There's TONS of good "real" blogs at blogspot.com I put real in quotes because there's wide divergence of views as to what "real" mainstream blogs are. To me, real = real content with contenxt/ppc ads. To others, real = content only no ads.

We can all agree though.... keyword only blogger entries = spam

One of our customers using AutoBlogger Pro got to page 4 after just two weeks for a very good term (16,600,000 results) A week before he was on page 78. No splogging needed. See sig

I have one on there, and so far have not had any problems. Like being reported etc. But when I surf the blogs, there are tons of them that sre just SE spam.

And dozens upon dozens of other high traffic sources with dual uses. You have a very valid point. I don't thing Google is gonna do away with blogspot/blogger anytime soon.
