What's a good printer to get?

I have horrible luck with printers and need a good reliable one that will feed paper properly. Suggestions?

    HP deskjet.
Buy them new, sell em off on ebay when the ink runs out and replace with a new one. (cheaper than getting ink refills ussually).

I'm quite partial to my Brother MFC 210C

Economical and damn good print quality.

it uses R G and Y tanks. Cheaper to replace just one color than a whole color pack.

Has fax built in, pc fax, color and B&W copying... scanning. The whole nine yards.

this one has the feeder for the scanner/copier if you are doing mutiple documents on faxing, copying and scanning.

Decide what the purpose of the printer will be, what paper sizes and resolutions are needed, what special features you need, and what the refill cost are on a per copy basis at 70% coverage. You will then know what to look for.

For bubblejets, I suggest canons. You can replace the colors individually so you save a lot of $ on ink

                Laser for life

I use a brother MFC4800. I send about 20 faxes a day, print up the ass and replacement toner costs $9 for about 2000 pages. Plus the quality is second to none cuz its a 600x600 laser!
