Even my friends that smoke pot tell me that it sucks almost all motivation and ambition right out of them! They wake up and think of so much shit they have to do that day and then smoke a quick morning bowl. After that, they're sitting on their couch the rest of the day not getting shit done. I was just stating an opinion.

I dont smoke pot very often anymore because of my kids, but i can tell you for certain your wrong... When i used to smoke pot , i would want to clean and fix things... not lay around watching cartoons.
If anything pot makes you more motivated, but it saps your physical energy while your high.
I think what it boils down to is ANYTHING IN EXCESS is bad.. anything in moderation seems to be ok.

Very true that anything in excess is bad and what I'm pointing out is that most of the people that brag about smoking pot do it in excess. You don't see a weekend smoker wearing a pot leaf t-shirt or a 420 hat. It's a lifestyle therefore done in excess.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with smoking pot/weed. *I* on the other hand, choose not to only because I get easily addicted to things and I know I would do it way to often. I know my limitations.
If found my child smoking pot I would sit him or her down and tell he/she exactly how I feel on this subject. It's alright to do it once in a great while but like everything else it can become a crutch and take control of your life. I have a friend who smokes about 4 to 5 bowls a day. I smoked pot when I was younger and in college but I never went around advertising the fact. Hell, every once in a while I'll spark up with some old buddies and let loose. However, I don't go around bragging about it like it was an accomplishment.
BTW, out of all the people I went to college with the ones that continued to smoke on a regular basis are not nearly as successful as those of us that quit.

I like to smoke weed. It calms my stomach (which I was smart enough to destroy with oral steroids) and it certainly helps me to relax. I don't smoke it to get away from anything, and it doesn't really change me. I'd wager that most of you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between when I was stoned and when I was not.
Not everybody that smokes weed is necessarily a big stoned idiot. Much the same as not everyone that has a drink beats their wife and children.
So while I agee running around with the "look at me I'm stoned" banner flying high is kind of silly, I also object to your label that all people that smoke pot are stupid unmotivated losers.
